Professional Floor Polishing Service

Marble and parquet floors need regular polishing to maintain their beauty, durability, and value. Marble, being porous, is prone to scratches and stains, which dull its natural shine over time. Regular polishing restores its luster and protects it from damage.

Parquet floors, with their intricate wood patterns, can lose their warmth and charm due to wear and tear. Polishing revives the wood’s natural grain, enhances its appearance, and provides a protective layer, ensuring long-lasting elegance and resilience.

The Art of Floor Polishing

A well-polished floor can transform any space, imbuing it with a sense of luxury, elegance, and warmth. For homeowners who invest in high-quality flooring, regular professional polishing is essential to maintain and enhance their beauty. These premium materials, while durable, require specialised care to preserve their shine and prolong their lifespan. This is where expert floor polishing services come in, ensuring your floors remain a stunning feature of your home.

Bringing Out the Best in Natural Stone

Marble floors are synonymous with sophistication. This natural stone, with its unique veining and rich colour variations, adds a timeless appeal to any home. However, marble being porous are susceptible to scratches, stains, and dullness over time. To keep marble floors looking their best, regular polishing is a must.

Heavy Duty Floor Scrubber

Professional marble floor polishing involves several stages. The process begins with cleaning the surface to remove dirt and grime. We use a heavy duty floor scrubber designed specially for this purpose.

Next, a grinding process smooths out any imperfections, followed by honing, which further refines the surface, reducing scratches and stains. The final stage involves polishing, which brings out the natural shine of the marble, and sealing, which protects the surface from future damage. By hiring experienced professionals, homeowners can ensure that their marble floors retain their luster and elegance for years to come.

Our 4-Step Marble Polishing System:

1. In-depth Cleaning using pH Neutral Cleaner

Marble has the tendency to absorb acidic and alkaline substances which forms a layer on the surface spoiling its shine. The first step is getting rid of dust, dirt and grime using our heavy duty floor scrubber followed by surface cleaning with a pH Neutral Cleaner. During this step, excess acid and alkaline are removed and the pores of the marble are opened, preparing it for more thorough and deeper cleaning.

2. Fill & Repair Cracks with Epoxy Resins

Fill and repair any cracks with epoxy resins with colour matching of the marble flooring. The epoxy resin works as a penetrating sealant which enters the crevices of the marble and prevents it from absorbing stains or liquids.

3. Spot Polishing with Diamond Powder

After the deep cleaning, the marble surface is spot polished with the diamond abrasives in areas where the scratches and stains are still prevalent. Our experts make sure your marble surface is spotless and gets its inner glow by the end of this step. The surface is once again cleaned using the pH neutral detergent to remove the acids from the polishing material.

4. Polishing with Diamond Abrasives

As marble is very hard it needs to be cleaned with something even harder than itself to bring out its shine. We apply a mix of diamond powder with crystalline micro-abrasives on the surface and using a specialised marble polishing machine we buff the surface to bring out the stone’s radiant shine and remove all the scratches and stains.

Preserving the Warmth and Charm of Wood

Parquet flooring adds a touch of artistry to any room. However, over time, parquet floors can become dull and worn, especially in high-traffic areas. To restore their original beauty, parquet floors require regular polishing and varnishing.

The polishing process for parquet floors is delicate and requires precision:

  1. First, the floors are thoroughly cleaned to remove dust and debris with our heavy duty floor scrubber.
  2. Then, the surface is lightly sanded to smooth out any minor imperfections and to prepare it for polishing. A high-quality wood polish is then applied, enhancing the natural grain of the wood and providing a protective layer against wear and tear.
  3. Finally, a buffing process brings out a beautiful shine, giving the parquet floors a fresh and revitalized look.

Useful Tips For Maintaining Your Flooring

Marble flooring should be polished every 3 to 5 years, depending on the level of traffic and wear it experiences. If the marble starts to look dull or scratched, it might be time for a polish, regardless of how long it’s been.

Water is the best cleaning agent for marble floor. Use a damp cloth to mop on a weekly basis to keep it clean. If it is still not clean, use a neutral pH detergent. Avoid any acidic cleaning products as it will ruin your marble flooring. Most importantly, if there is any spillage, clean it immediately to prevent staining the marble. The longer you leave a stain untreated, the deeper it seeps into the marble the harder it is for it to be removed.

  • Sweep or vacuum your parquet floor regularly to remove dust and dirt. Use a soft-bristled broom or a vacuum with a hardwood floor attachment to avoid scratches. Clean the floor with a damp (not wet) mop using a cleaner specifically made for wood floors. Avoid excess water as it can damage the wood. Wipe up spills immediately with a soft, dry cloth to prevent stains and water damage.
  • Place felt pads under furniture legs to prevent scratches. Avoid dragging heavy furniture across the floor. Use rugs or mats in high-traffic areas and near entryways to reduce wear and trap dirt.
  • Use curtains or blinds to protect your parquet floor from direct sunlight, which can cause fading and discolouration.
